![]() ![]() Research becomes important in industries where change is constant. Here are some of the UX features that you could consider for your app to shine. When designing, you need to follow a level of consistency. The basic steps to improve an app’s UX revolve around specifics commonly associated with user behavior. Ultimately, it all starts with good UX and ends with a satisfied customer who will become your brand advocate. This in turn, can also help retain loyal customers through positive purchasing decisions. Good UX or a visually appealing design is known to have a positive impact on customers as a seamless experience can boost customer satisfaction. A well-designed UX can also improve efficiency, accessibility, and usability, leading to increased productivity and revenue. Why is it essential to understand the significance of good UX (user experience)? For bad UX can make your brand an ‘unused application’ and that will be the death of brand loyalty.Ī positive UX can increase user satisfaction, engagement, and loyalty, while a poor UX can result in frustration, abandonment, and negative reviews. From understanding why, you need to provide a good user experience to learning about user behaviors the basics matter. One of the ideal ways to achieve or improve an app’s user experience is to start from the very beginning. Designs curated need to be intuitive, creative, and enjoyable. As I mentioned, this is terrific when we're resizing content and we'll revisit it pretty soon.Millions of dollars are spent on creating the best user experience for customers – whether it is through a website, or a mobile app. So if I press and drag to reduce the width of this column, notice that the text is going to grow, so the width can be fixed, but the height is going to grow, based on the content within the container. ![]() And when I click on it, instead of having a point at every corner, it's very subtle, the differences here, if I click on what we just had, notice that the points are in the corners, as well as in the middle, when it comes to auto height, I just have four points, one, two, three, four, but the behavior is distinctly different. So let's go ahead and drag this guy out a bit further too, with it selected in the properties inspector, I'll select that second toggle for auto height. Auto height, on the other hand, basically, if you think about it, auto height means that the width is going to remain fixed and the height will automatically or dynamically change. So that's where auto width really shines. If I look here in the properties inspector, the height of the texts that I have selected and the letting or the line spacing, is also updating dynamically as I come in and resize it visually to kind of get the best headline length for the design I'm working on. Notice I have a single control point now, not multiple, and as I press and drag that control point, it's dynamically resizing the size of the text. I can come in and select text, change that container type to auto width. And as we work with some responsive layout features, you'll better understand how auto height works in action, but for now, auto width is terrific for headlines. So as I mentioned, there are three different container types. So I'm going to go ahead and shorten the length of the text that I have here and actually widen out the container. For the auto width example, this is ideal for headlines. And I'll do that again a second time and I'll move this first one to that third position. What I want to do is duplicate this a few times, so I'm going to press and drag it while holding the option key down. And by default, it's going to be the fixed height and width, fixed size, basically, container type. And here in the properties inspector in the text area, there are one of three different text containers that that could be. When I select it, you can see the control handles that I have on all sides. And when I do so, XD places it here on the design canvas. And then there's probably the usual way, which is to pull down under File to select Import, here in the Exercise Files folder, inside the Asset Types folder, inside the Images and Text folder, is a Matcha_Sample.txt file. Another one is to drag a text file from your own computer to the design canvas, that will also import it. ![]() When you paste it in XD, it's going to be unformatted text. ![]() One is to simply go to a web browser to another application and copy it to the clipboard. There are a number of ways to bring text into the application. But given the existing feature set, it's actually pretty fine tuned for user interface design. There's a number of features I'd like to see added, and one can only keep their fingers crossed, that those will update soon. The text engine in XD is not the most robust engine in the Adobe portfolio. Area Text art board in the text and color controls area of the exercise file. If you're just joining me, I'm in the clipboard, Point vs. ![]()
